“That was regrettable. That was essentially an exchange with Cowboys supporters seated near me,” Jones explained during a Tuesday interview. “There was a swarm of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, our fans. The entire stadium was filled with enthusiasm for the Cowboys.”
He further emphasized that the signal was completely accidental, occurring amid the elation following the team’s final touchdown. “I just put up the wrong finger,” he remarked. “It was inadvertently performed. I’m not kidding. Should you call it accidental, you can. But it got resolved pretty quick.”
