Devoted followers of the pop star are demanding that a individual who breached a barrier and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers walked down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents indicated that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account features clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another message on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Academy Award nods, earning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
