Former Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors report that a former doctor has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
The charges follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
Breakdown of Offences
The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
