The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The celebrated industry figure died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
